The Victory Series
Patented By:
Venture Retaining Wall Systems, L.L.C.
The
Victory I wall unit’s height-to-depth ratio of better than
2:1 provides additional strength desired for segmental wall designs. Other
systems limit the flexibility available to the design engineer, with built-in
set-back requirements. Therefore, built-in restrictions may reduce and/or
adversely affect the site layout conditions. If necessary, Venture’s
systems will allow as little as 1/16" set-back per 8" course. Note:
1/8" is the minimum suggested per course. The larger unit provides
greater mass at the face of the wall, which increases the shear resistance between
units and wall unit to geogrid connection strength.
The
Victory II wall unit has the split rib finish on both front and
back. This unique design feature allows parapet walls to be constructed to
match the retaining wall itself. To construct parapet walls, most systems
require the use of two (2) 12" units installed back to back, which is
costly. Note: The Victory II unit is primarily used on straight walls. Due to
wall unit angle restrictions, serpentine walls will not allow the use of the
Victory II unit. However, with minor cuts and alterations, stack-bond 90
degree radius turns can be constructed with the Victory II unit.
The
Mini Vic wall units, due to manufacturing requirements, have
two profiles that mirror each other.
Although the two profiles are different, design characteristics allow
the individual units to remain difficult to identify, within the wall itself.
The versatility and durability of
the Victory Series units are represented here in this detention pond project.
The use of Venture’s large wall units has been tested over the years in
channel lining projects and sea-walls along shore lines.
Due to the ease of installation,
public works employees have completed channel lining projects themselves. Not
having to depend on outside contractors allowed more projects to be completed
on the limited funds available.
